Data Scientist

• Apply cutting edge solutions while leveraging our proprietary gut microbiome database, the largest whole genome sequencing based microbiome database worldwide, and its coupled unique dietary behavior datasets
• Develop on-line and scalable models and tools using machine learning, deep learning and NLP techniques
• Build a recommendation system that will drive our nutrition app, providing personalized insights, and suggestions
• Work alongside machine learning experts, technologists, product managers and microbiome researchers from across the organization to solve complex problems
• Write production quality code while implementing your own ideas

• Master’s Degree or PhD in Data Science, Computer Science or Engineering
• At least two years of experience as a data scientist
• Strong knowledge of Python
• Solid background in algorithms, data structures, and programming
• Good understanding of probability and statistics
• Team player, Ability to handle several tasks simultaneously

A big plus:

• Experience working on an applied recommendations system solution
• Experience in NLP
• Experienced in operating Linux-based systems
• Experience with big-data frameworks (e.g. MapReduce, Kafka, Spark, Hive)
• Experience with large scale/ distributed systems in production
